I’m trying to expand my network beyond my office and i’m on the Katie C. DL for receptions but i’m wondering if these are actually worth attending. I’ve been to a few but I feel like I never actually meet anyone at these things.
There are two types of receptions worth attending:
- Free food
- Ones related to the issues you work in / want to work in
Avoid the environmental ones
Screeching from those bastards
Even most of the ones relevant to your area are pretty worthless. Try to go to relatively exclusive events to filter out the riff raff.
