Dropped yesterday and there is NO Road to housing

This probably means that each of those things were toxic for some contingent of senators right? Makes sense for GAIN AI/preemption, but somewhat surprising that Road to Housing didn’t make the cut given both Scott and Warren support it.
Not just them, it got passed unanimously out of committee. I heard that some of Warren’s staff are pretty pissed with dem leadership that RtH didn’t make the cut.
I heard that NLIHC and some of the other NIMBY interest groups really heavily lobbied Padilla to get it stripped out.
What’s their specific beef with Road to Housing? My reading of the bill is that it’s mostly harmless and doesn’t really accomplish much.
I find it weird that they would try to attach it to NDAA in the first place. It doesn’t really make sense. It’s like Rubio always trying to attached the Sunshine Protection Act when he was a Senator.
