Subject line. Are we still doing it this week?
Homeland Security negotiations are taking up all the oxygen in the room. RPC meeting indicated we’re gonna tackle it after recess.
Still can’t believe how long it’s taken given it passed out of committee unanimously. That basically never happens these days.
ROAD is definitely one of the small silver linings of what’s going on. Probably won’t be sufficient by itself, but definitely a step in the right direction.
I’m still wondering if Tim Scott really thinks this will be a sound basis from which to launch a presidential campaign in 2027.
To that point, it would probably be funnier if he fully pivots and cosponsors legislation with Bernie Sen Sanders agrees with President Trump call to cap credit card interest rates | Fox News
Really hoping they introduce it to see congressional republicans get crosswise with Trump
I heard from someone that we might move to this next week but how is that possible if DHS negotiations aren’t resolved yet?
Yeah, that can’t be right. I can’t see us going to ROAD until after we finish DHS.
Any updates here? Thune filed on it yesterday after all.
Last I heard was that senators are still trying to negotiate something w/r/t the ban on instl investors buying single family housing.
Anyone have the text of what we’re actually gonna vote on yet?
At the BankingLA meeting. I’ll post what I hear.
Substantially what passed out of committee. White House already TA’d. Including some bits from House version.
Claiming it’s just technical fixes.
Saying it’s working on something for SFH that they think doesn’t break anything.
Amendment process won’t be a Christmas tree they’re saying
Sounds like they’re trying to limit amendments to housing and very few at that.
Anyone know ifRPC is gonna do an amendment tracker?
Did you guys vote yet? I’m soooo confused
Trump allegedly told GOP leader “No one gives a [bleep] about housing”
lol
On this point, I heard that the White House is planing to put out a housing EO very soon
