Hi! A bit of an out there question but I am applying for a role but the only thing I know about the senator is the state. I like to include in my cover letter a little bit about thier commitee work but I don’t know which one it is. Should I just talk about thier state? Or just talk about their caucus as a whole? They represent a single party state.
Just to clarify: you know the name of the Senator, right? If so, then you should look up their latest press releases, which committees they’re on (you can find on Congress.gov), and recent bills they have introduced (also on Congress.gov). This should give you enough info to tailor the letter.
No. I know which state they represent but I don’t know which one it is. Think of it as I know they are a South Dakotan senator but don’t know if it is Thune or Rounds
yeah I’ve seen a few of these listings now. I applied to staff assistant role for “Northeast Democratic Senator” and didn’t really know what to do lol. just highlighted New England experience and knowledge
