Getting on the Hill from an internship?

I’m a student at UCSB doing an internship with a personal office through the UCDC program. I’m thinking about getting a job on the Hill after graduation. I’m a senior.

Here are some of my stats:

Major: Political science

GPA: 3.5

Experience: State Representative internship, campaign volunteer, student government (not leadership though), campus tour guide

What should I be doing to boost my chances?

Your resume looks very strong so it’s just a matter of networking at this point. Are you grabbing coffees with a lot of people?

Agreed with @fondastic. Only other thing I’d recommend is trying to volunteer with campaigns (incl primaries) to boost your partisan credentials.

If you’re working on the Republican side, you should consider this job that someone just posted.
