How do you get a presidential pardon for ALLEGEDLY accepting bribes?

I think it’s obvious Menendez was railroaded and he needs to be pardoned!
Here’s how:
- Menendez was the Chair of SFRC, where he heavily pushed the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, securing a bipartisan, veto-proof supermajority for passage.
- Biden, being compromised by China, did not want to sign the bill, but he was forced to since the optics of a veto would be awful and it would get a veto override anyway.
- The Biden administration then sent the DOJ after Menendez to punish him for standing up against forced labor and ethnocide, just like how the DOJ tried to persecute Trump.
Trump needs to pardon him, but I get that pardoning the “gold bars” guy looks bad.
But still: justice needs to be served.
