Also, are Dems going to stop it bc they’re angry about rescissions?
The appropriations bills don’t have to pass on time. We can do something called a continuing resolution, where we basically extend all the funding on autopilot until we pass the appropriations bills.
You’ve probably heard them called a “CR.” That’s what that is.
Democrats could try to stop the CR but it would be political suicide for them to.

As you said, they’re angry about rescissions. There could be smaller disputes in each of the appropriations bills too, like Van Hollen being mad about Maryland not getting the new FBI headquarters.

I was talking with someone at the ABA event last night and I’m hearing we’re probably going to lose the first 3-4 days of recess. Bad, but not the worst outcome.
