How white people feel when they overanalyze an election instead of facing the fact that many of their friends and neighbors are simply racist and did not want a Black woman in the Oval Office:

Nope. There’s a lot of overlap. And I think that a lot of people are ignorant to assume otherwise. You see this in the workforce a lot. You’re fine if you stay in your place, but if you manage to outshine them, that’s when the claws come out.
My mom had a boss who voted for Obama but was very racist. I had a white roommate who was all pro-palestine and shit and then managed to make your average white guy in my conservative hometown blush by the way she acted towards me, all because I didn’t want to share utensils. She took it personally and then, that old friend racism just jumped out. She didn’t vote in 2024. Shocking.
I feel like this is something you have to live through to understand. Because even as an 12 year old, I assumed that there was no overlap until, well…

Wtf people want to share utensils? Like I get sharing food, but the only people you should share utensils with are those whose spit gets in your mouth anyway. Or you’re stuck in the middle of the desert.
i agree. i grew up in a very rich, very white, self-proclaimed liberal area of CA. there was a lot of subtle (and not so subtle) racisim (especially with added sexism). but every chance these hypocrits get they talk about how they voted for Obama. as if that makes them not
Let’s set the record straight. Kamala was unwilling to call a genocide a genocide and that’s why she lost. The middle finger to the Muslim community and everyone with a conscience is why she lost, not because she was black.
We don’t want our oppressors to just be reskinned white men. We simply don’t want to have oppressors.
