I don’t think it’s an unfair sentiment. The current status quo would be as if 75% of Senators/House members all moved from New York to another state just to run for Congress. Wouldn’t make for very ‘representative’ governnance.
Funny you say that. While it’s not exactly the case that they all come from the same state, it does look like they basically all come from the same core group of universities. This probably explains why Dems are all insufferable in the same way. Hopefully Sec. McMahon pushes for educational diversity in Congress in the same way Bessent is doing her.
