Budget quirks from a law from the 70s

Going to 1 AM per my cloakroom guy

read up on the Congressional Budget Act of 74 if you really want to get in the weeds (not the actual act, but write-ups of how the Senate has used it). If you try to read the actual thing, you’ll never get to the bottom of it.

This is what our office is telling us too. Depends on if the 1:30 vote moves though.

We in the Senate are just waiting to see how you guys manage to fuck up the crypto bills.

Did anyone just see Tillis floor speech
Is he going to be a no or is he just pissed about Jerome

I think we’re fine
He really hedged at the end so it was virtue signaling

Anyone have amendment vote leaks?

Hearing there will be a vote on Baldwin 2855 (CPB strike)

Cutting funding for peacekeeping and democracy? A terrible idea. How are we supposed to exert our influence? Some of us have very important, long-standing arrangements… I mean, alliances.

The gravy train is over. Sorry not sorry!

Any R amendment votes yet? Is Tillis pushing one?

good luck on the senate side! get it passed quickly so we can process it here on the house side. kthxbye.

I would also like to know some

Confirming that i’m also hearing that we’re likely to get a vote on this.

Is it a simple strike

Yes. That’s what a strike provision is.

Not hearing any yet but guessing we’ll get some McConnell/Collins/Murkowski.

lol burn

Absolutely. When I think of government waste, the first thing that comes to mind is funding for AIDS relief and local TV stations in rural America. It’s a mystery why we ever funded such frivolous things. Glad we’re finally getting our priorities straight.
